Promoted Ads (Image and Video)
Image and video ads that look like posts in the X timeline, with Website Card for site traffic and App Button for app installs.
ExploreX's creative technology solutions turn a standard ad into an interactive experience driven by a like, repost or click. Someone likes a post and gets a personal reply from the brand; picks an option in a thread and steers the story; enters a giveaway and learns by notification whether they won. We start from the campaign idea, because the mechanic only works when it carries a good one.
We use these interactive X ad solutions to keep interest alive before a fixed-date launch and to get a community talking one-to-one with the brand: like-triggered countdown notifications for a film or game, gamified threads for sports fans, and opt-in sign-ups collected with Lead Gen Card in exchange for a discount code. Without a strong campaign idea, we do not recommend them.
Funnel stages it serves
What the solutions in this group have in common is that the user gives permission by liking a post, after which content arrives from the brand's account via an @mention. These replies are published automatically by a third-party app that works with X. Even if the user closes the ad and moves on, the content lands in their notifications, giving the brand a second and third chance to be seen. We list the five mechanics and how they differ below:
Threadventures is a gamified story made of linked posts. At each step, the user clicks an option and moves to a different branch of the story. It can be used to steer a series character, complete a quiz or find the right product in a range. The branches need to be mapped in advance; as the number of steps grows, so does the number of users who drop out halfway, which is why we keep the story short.
Dynamic Post Overlay adds a brand video overlay on top of any published public post. The overlay can be used for branding, exclusive content or styling, and can be reposted by the brand. Lead Gen Card takes the user from the call-to-action post to a microsite inside X. The user leaves their details, and in return the brand offers something of value: a discount code, early access or content. We track how many of the collected sign-ups turn into sales with funnel analysis.
Instant Win and any mechanic involving a prize can run into lottery and promotion regulations in Türkiye. Prize draws may require a permit from Milli Piyango İdaresi (Türkiye's National Lottery Administration); so we do not commit to a launch schedule before the mechanic, the prize and the entry terms have been approved by the brand's legal team. For data collected through Lead Gen Card, a KVKK (Türkiye's personal data protection law) privacy notice and, where needed, an explicit consent text must be part of the form.
According to X's own presentation, these managed activations require longer preparation than standard ads. That is also why we do not recommend them for every campaign. We bring them up when there is a measurable engagement goal, a strong idea and at least a few weeks of preparation time. We refine the idea during marketing planning and build the rest of the X campaign together with the X Ads structure.

ExploreThey are managed activations that add interaction to an X ad: notification mechanics triggered by a like (Scheduled Notifications, Partner CTA, Discovery Engine, Random Response, Instant Win), gamified threads (Threadventures), video overlays on public posts (Dynamic Post Overlay) and in-platform forms (Lead Gen Card).
With Scheduled Notifications, the user gives permission once and the reminder arrives on a date chosen by the brand. With Discovery Engine, each new piece of content is released when the user likes the previous notification. The first builds anticipation around a date; the second moves the user forward step by step. We recommend the first for launch countdowns and the second for introducing a destination or a product range.
No. Replies and notifications are published automatically by a third-party app, and setup is done together with the X team. We manage the idea, content, legal check and promotional campaign, and handle coordination with X. We build the ads that promote the call-to-action post in Ads Manager ourselves.
The data is used only for the purpose stated in the privacy notice. We set up the flow that sends the form to your CRM or email tool before the campaign, and deliver the promised value, such as the discount code, to the user without delay.
